On Friday 8th September, ENS hosted a Celebration of Long Service, bringing some of our longest serving support workers together in an afternoon aiming to celebrate long-standing external staff.
ENS love hosting events for great causes, and Friday’s Long Service afternoon event was no exception – We united some of our longest serving staff, some of whom have accrued 15+ years of service with us, for an afternoon of good fun and great food.
We hosted the event as a way to say ‘thank you’ to all of our long serving staff who have shown an unprecedented amount of loyalty to ENS, sticking with us for, in some cases, over a decade. This kind of loyalty is very special in our industry, as such we wanted to give something back as a reward for long service and extraordinary work.
Here’s what our HR Manager, Victoria Graves, had to say:
“We wanted to shout ‘THANK YOU’ from the roof tops to those long serving agency staff and make it ‘all about them’. They go ‘Beyond Standards’ in everything they do for ENS, so we wanted to ensure we did the same for them.”
Lawrence, Lisa, Vera, Celia and Alison are all long-standing members of staff who managed to attend our Celebration of Long Service afternoon. When they arrived, they were greeted by a warm reception of office staff who had come to personally thank them for their continued service
and outstanding work. The guests of honour also received ENS branded goodie bags and a certificate, as a mark of appreciation on behalf of ENS. On top of that, all of our guests helped themselves to the delicious food and drink on offer; our sandwiches and cakes went down well, with the carrot cake being especially popular among all attendees! All of these elements came together to create an event that we hope properly honoured some of our longest-serving agency staff!
The idea for the event was born out of internal staff feedback, as some members of our ENS team thought that long-service recognition shouldn’t just be limited to long-serving office staff, but should also extend to our hard-working external staff whose care and support is intrinsic to the individuals we care for.
Lastly, we would like to thank Lawrence, Lisa, Vera, Celia and Alison for taking the time to join us and for their continued service with ENS.
