Celebrating 30 years of ENS

Posted: 11th November 2021

Established in 1991 from the humble beginnings of the Davis family home, ENS has grown considerably in the 30 years that followed. Although we started as a temporary staffing agency, we’ve grown to offer leading recruitment, care and training services throughout East Anglia, Kent and London.

We specialise in Health and Social Care and Commercial recruitment and source the very best talent across the area for organisations large and small. We’re also a CQC registered care provider in our own right and deliver quality at-home care to people with a range of needs. Recently, we’ve also expanded our own in-house training department, allowing us to provide a range of mandatory, specialised, and bespoke training courses.

Despite steady growth throughout the years, we’re still a family-run company at heart. We value quality above all else and strive to go ‘beyond standards’ in everything we do.

ENS’ 30th Anniversary

From the launch of our expanded live-in care services to the release of our new eLearning portal, there’s plenty to celebrate as we approach ENS’ 30th Anniversary office party on Thursday 2nd December 2021! We’re inviting office staff past and present, local clients and carers to help us celebrate such an incredible milestone.

It wouldn’t be a proper celebration without involving our astounding staff and the people they support. So, to get everyone involved we’re hosting several fun-filled afternoons, complete with sparkly decorations and homemade cakes, in our supported living schemes and offices.

On top of that, we’re rounding off 30 amazing years by giving something back to the community. In 2022 ENS staff are walking 30km to raise money for South East and Central Essex Mind. Their work has made a terrific impact locally, and we’re all hugely excited to support such a positive cause.
Keep an eye out for an opportunity to support our charitable efforts soon.

Previous charitable initiatives

We have enjoyed supporting wonderful causes and creating positive change over the years. Together, we’ve helped raise thousands of £s for a number of outstanding local charities!

London to Southend bike ride

Earlier this year, after months of training, friends of ENS, Gary and Dave raised an astonishing £879 for South East and Central Essex Mind (SECE Mind). Setting out with a goal of just £250, the pair smashed their target by cycling the epic 52-mile London to Southend bike ride in 2021.

Danceathon

In 2019, we organised a ‘24-hour Danceathon’ in the ENS office to raise money for local mental health charity South East and Central Essex Mind (SECE Mind). Over the course of the full 24-hour period, we had at least 2 dancers grooving to keep the momentum going. In the end, we raised an astonishing £1,800 for this phenomenal local charity.

Our staff

ENS is nothing without our incredibly loyal, hardworking staff, both office and agency. As we look forward to the future of ENS, we say a heartfelt THANK YOU to each and every one of you for your tremendous hard work and resilience, especially over the past 2 years.

What people are saying about ENS

ENS has been our sole agency provider for the past 8 years. During this time we have worked in partnership to establish an agency service that provides us with the assurance that ENS staff are flexible, highly trained and able to adapt to our working environment across all of our diverse services.
ENS has been able to support our services to a very high standard throughout our geographical locations. Key Performance Indicators often exceed agreed outcomes.
Our relationship with their senior team and operational supervisors is professional and open. We are assured that our long standing working relationship with ENS will continue.
To this end we would not hesitate to recommend ENS as an agency provider to support their organisation.

We needed to fill two last minute vacancies with high quality teachers.  With this brief, Julie from ENS did not disappoint.  One candidate was from Canada and Julie ensured that the move over went as smoothly as possible both for the teacher and the school.
What impressed me the most was how Julie listened to exactly what I required and so no time was wasted on my part, sifting through candidates who would not have been good enough for my school. I would highly recommend ENS to another school looking to fill their teacher vacancies.

My daughter Lynda has enjoyed 24 hour care provided by ENS since July 2013. The care staff are all well trained & briefed as to her complex healthcare regime & are also very sociable. This is very important to Lynda who loves to talk &interact with them. They also manage her household budget, encourage her to participate in domestic tasks within her capabilities, & promote a healthy lifestyle. The administration of ENS is excellent & has ensured that Lynda has a regular rota of carers & that when stand ins are necessary that they have had shadow shifts with her.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the hard work and support you have offered our Foyer and Parent and Child Scheme in managing the placement of temporary staff.
We appreciate the level of consistency and continuity your staff have bought to the schemes and would not hesitate in recommending the services of ENS Recruitment.
